Cedar Lake Improvement District (CLID) Meeting Minutes held on November 1, 2021, 6:30-8:00 pm at Paul Hoyt’s home due to COVID.

Attendees: Amy Gallagher, Joel Larsen, Tim Schroeder, Paul Hoyt, Pamela Caselius, Tim Singleton, and Dave Nielsen.

Agenda:

-Sportsman's Club Meeting Update

-Lake Weed Survey Update

-Treasure's Report

-Spring Weed Treatment

-WSB Carp Contract Discussion

-Lake Water Quality Conditions Discussion

Tim Schroeder provided an update on the meeting he, Tim Singleton and Joel Larsen had with the Sportsman’s club. No immediate projects were agreed upon, but they suggested we continue to try and find common areas on which to work together. The annual lake clean-up event is an example of a project we partner on regularly.

Amy provided an update on our independent lake weed survey in progress, but still not completed. This plan is needed to help support our 2022 treatment plan with the DNR based on current weed growth. There was a recent change in contacts with the firm we are utilizing for our survey, Environment Laboratories Inc., thus a delay in getting the report. Amy will work with the new contact to obtain the survey as soon as possible.

Tim Schroeder advised that Melissa Bokman Ermer from the Scott County Watershed Management has not yet provided their weed survey report but once we have ours completed we are going to schedule a meeting with Melissa and the DNR to review these reports together. Our goal is to ensure we are able to voice our concerns regarding the plan that was approved and used in 2021 and why the board feels this plan needs to be revised for 2022. Tim Schroeder and Joel Larsen are tentatively scheduled to attend this meeting.

Tim Singleton provided an update on the Treasurer’s Report. No activity for this month other than interest earned on funds in savings. A WSB and Associates invoice is pending for the carp project which Tim is in the process of reviewing.

The meeting adjourned via motion from Tim Singleton and seconded by Amy Gallagher at 8:00 PM.

The next meeting date was set for Monday, January 3rd at 6:30 PM at Paul Hoyt's home garage.
