Cedar Lake Improvement District meeting notes from May 12, 2015 6:30 – 8 pm at the New Prague Public Library -

Attendees: Marie Jaeger, Dave Nielsen, Theresa Juhl, Brad Eller

Agenda Items for discussion:

  • Treasurer's report
  • Carp Kabob Tournament
  • Liability Insurance Rider for Tournament
  • Lake Treatment on May 1

Marie brought the meeting to order and Dave seconded.

Dave reviewed income and expenses since April and provided bank statements for the board’s records. There was one credit for the interest earned on the savings account. There were three debits for Carp Kabob prize money that will be reimbursed by SWMO, annual web fees, and printing costs for annual meeting handouts.

Brad mentioned everything was in place and ready for the 3rd Annual Carp Kabob Tournament. He turned in the registration fees collected from the participants to Dave. He had 10 boats registered with two on a backup list. The weigh-in will be at 0700 on Saturday morning. Coffee and donuts will be provided.

The liability insurance rider for the Tournament was included in the annual premium so no additional premium was required.

The lake treatment that was completed on May 1st was discussed. The East Bay was treated again in its entirety due to a large presence of curly leaf. So far all comments have been positive from residents and lake visitors.

The board also discussed following up with Melissa regarding a filtering system to control the carp coming into the lake. Brad volunteered to follow up with Melissa before our next meeting.

The next board meeting will be held Tuesday, September 8, at the New Prague Library from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
